Senior Lecturer (Wildlife Management and Conservation)

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation or relevant discipline from a recognized University. 

They must have at least five (5) years teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

They must have supervised at least three Masters students to completion and published at least four (4) articles in refereed journals or two (2) publications and two (2) book chapters since last promotion. 

They must demonstrate evidence of continuing research activity.

 
Successful candidates will be expected to teach, supervise and mentor undergraduates and postgraduates in Wildlife Management and Conservation and related disciplines.
 
Lecturer, Department of Chemistry

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Inorganic Chemistry or its equivalent from a recognized university. 

Applicants who possess a Masters degree in Inorganic Chemistry and have at least three (3) years teaching experience at University level and are registered for a PhD degree in the relevant area will also be considered. 

They should have research experience, with at least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two chapters in scholarly books. They should show evidence of continuing research activity.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise at both undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake further research in their areas of specialization and also participate in School’s activities.

Lecturer, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Applicants must be registered Medical Practitioners and should posses MMed (Obstetrics Gynaecology) or its equivalent. 

They should have had a least 2 publications in referred journals, or 1 paper and 1 chapter in a text book. 

Previous exposure in teaching, mentoring and supervising students in clinical areas and research constitutes an added advantage. 

Suitable applicants should be able to demonstrate prowess in research potential and predilection towards sub-specialty. 

There should be evidence of continuous professional development such as teaching, research, presentation of papers, supervision of students in research attendance of conferences and academic workshops.

Duties of the successful candidates will include teaching undergraduates and postgraduates, supervision of postgraduates, conducting research and full participation in clinical responsibilities at Kenyatta National Hospital, as well as any other relevant duties allocated by the Chairman of the Department.

Tutorial Fellow, Department of Agricultural Economics

Applicants should be holders of an MBA degree in Financial Management and a first degree in Accounting from a recognized university. They should be specialized in the following disciplines: - Business Accounting, Business Taxation, Industrial Book Keeping, Financial Management, Management Accounting and Risk Management. 

Candidates who are members of professional bodies and in good standing for at least 5 years will have an added advantage. 

They should show evidence of having registered for a PhD degree in the relevant area.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to assist lecturers in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
 
Tutorial Fellow,  Department of Human Pathology,

Applicants should be holders of at least a Masters degree in Human Pathology such as MMEd (Path) o MMEd (Clinical Pathology) from a recognized university. 

Holders of an MBChB degree or equivalent and are currently pursuing a Masters degree in Human Pathology in Second year of study will also be considered. 

Evidence of special interest in Clinical Chemistry or Haematology as demonstrated by research or additional training will be an added advantage.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to support teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate
students and to participate in clinical diagnostic work.

Senior Medical Officer, University Health Services

Applicants should be holders of an MBChB degree and a Master of Medicine in Paediatrics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university. 

They must have at least three years experience after acquiring postgraduate qualification and have admitting rights to major private hospitals in Nairobi. in a busy clinical/medical institution. 

They must be registered by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists’ Board.

The successful candidate will be expected to run outpatient clinics, take care of in- patient patients in
hospitals in Nairobi and any other duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer or his appointee.

Please Note that this is a three year contract renewable with mutual agreement.
 
Cleaner, University Health Services
Grade II,

Applicants must be holders of at least a KCSE certificate or its equivalent. 

They must have at least five years working experience in relevant offices. 

They must have a good school leaving certificate and a good reference letter from current Section Head. 

They must be able to communicate fluently in both English and Kiswahili languages. 

They must have served as Messenger / Cleaner grade II or equivalent position for at least three (3) years. 

They must have good public relations. 

They must be of high integrity, reliable, disciplined and committed to work. 

Applicants who have worked in a hospital environment in any institution of higher learning for at least five (5) years will have an added advantage.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to show outstanding merit and work with minimum supervision. 

They will also be expected to work during odd hours and also during weekends.

Please note that the position is on a full-time and on a three year contract renewable on satisfactory performance and mutual consent.
