Job Title: Chief Manager, Corporate Services

Position Responsible To: Managing Director
 
Overall Responsibilities:
 
To lead the following functions:-
  • Local and International Commercial Activities;
  • Corporate/Sectorial/Regional Planning;
  • Corporate Performance Management;
  • Development and Review of the Wheeling Tariff Framework; and
  • Research and Development.
Minimum Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields:- Economics, Strategic Planning/Management, Engineering or Commerce (Marketing, Accounts or Finance option) from a recognized institution;
  • 12 years relevant experience, 5 of which must have been in Senior Managerial position in Corporate Planning, Business Development or Commercial Services;
  • Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines:- MBA in Strategic Management, Planning, or Finance, MA in Economics or Economics Policy Management;
  • Membership to a recognized professional body;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Knowledge in Development of policies and proposals;
  • Ability to lead teams in an environment conducive to continuous learning, creativity and innovation.
Job Title: Senior Insurance Officer

Position Responsible To: Company Secretary/ Chief Manager Legal Services
 
Overall Responsibility: To ensure optimum and cost-effective risk and insurance coverage for company assets and legal liabilities arising out of the company’s operations.

Minimum Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or in any Social Science with a bias in Insurance;
  • Registered Member, Chartered Insurance Institute or Registered Member, Insurance Institute of Kenya;
  • At least 7 years relevant experience;
  • Good leadership, Communication, problem solving & negotiation skills.
Job Title: Land Economist

Division: Power System Planning and Development
 
Job Grade: MG 7
 
Position Responsible To: Senior Land Economist
 
Overall responsibility: To determine property values and participate in mediation of valuation matters.
 
Minimum Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics;
  • Registered Valuer with the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya;
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in property valuation;
  • Good Communications, problem solving & negotiation skills;
  • Ability to work without supervision;
  • Thorough research, judgement and analytical skills.
