CAFOD, one of the UK’s leading international aid agencies, is currently looking for a Human Resources Adviser to be based in our Nairobi Office and provide support across Africa.
Job Profile: As part of a large HR team this role is the sole HR representative in Africa working in our country office and regularly travelling to provide support in our other African country offices.
CAFOD is currently undergoing a significant change programme and this role is responsible for providing change support and advice alongside day to day HR support.
Your role: Your key responsibilities in this role will be to partner our leaders and managers, developing their capacity and accompanying them of specific projects.

 Working as part of a larger HR team based in London, you will be working as the HR representative in Nairobi and will therefore need to be able to work as part of remote team whilst self- managing yourself day to day. 

You will regularly travel to other countries on the continent to give advice, support and training in our country offices. 

You will also take part in virtual meetings with your HR colleagues which will include regular peer support and learning.

Your profile: You will have a proven track record of providing HR support in a multi country and cultural setting. 

With experience and understanding of employment law across the continent and an ability to work in partnership with managers to implement corporate policy in the country context. 

You will also be a strong change management advocate with experience of stakeholder management and the ability to work with leadership teams to develop and implement cultural and structural changes.

Able to advise on employment matters, internal communications, to coach managers and facilitate training sessions. 

You will have solid experience of working in multiple countries across Africa.
