Human Resource Manager - 100,000-150,000 p.m.

Our client, a Tea Processing Factory, is seeking a qualified HR professional to fill the position of Human Resource Manager.

Reporting to General Manager

Salary: 100K – 150K

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee HR management for the Tea Processing Factory
  • Oversee and streamline recruitment and staff onboarding activities
  • Advise management accordingly on HR matters
  • Oversee HR planning, HR cost management and control
  • Oversee and advise on staff welfare programs and schemes
  • Payroll management and statutory returns
  • Oversee training and development activities
  • Manage performance management plans, reviews and improvement.
  • Employee relations management
  • Oversee and advise on industrial relation issues
  • Implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Prepare and submit timely HR reports to management
  • Maintain cordial relations with labour office and institutions
  • Manage and document staff disciplinary cases, union meetings and staff records from recruitment to separation
Requirements & Skills
  • Must be 30 years and above
  • At least a diploma in Human Resources (HR) or related
  • At least 7 years continuous HR experience in a busy organization and managing many employees
  • Membership with a professional body
  • HR generalist skills preferred
  • Experience as a manager in a factory or manufacturing setting an advantage
  • Deep understanding of Kenya Labour Laws and Acts affecting Human Resource management
  • Vast experience in employee relations, unions and working with labour offices
  • Possess excellent computer, Ms. office and HRMIS skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-driven with people skills
  • Mature and organized with excellent planning skills
